Clad metal beyond cookware
The same bonding line serves applications that are not pans: equipment panels, heat-spreading plates, architectural trim and fabricated parts. The structure changes; the discipline does not.
At a glance
Specification at a glance
| Application | Why clad is used | What changes in the specification |
|---|---|---|
| Heat-spreading plates | Aluminium conduction with a stainless face | Flatness and thermal contact matter more than surface finish |
| Equipment panels | Hygienic stainless face on a light core | Surface finish, flatness, cut edge treatment |
| Architectural trim | Warm tone and durability | Pattern consistency, colour match between lots |
| Fabricated parts | Weight saving with a stainless skin | Formability, weldability of the exposed edge |
| Cookware adjacent | Pan bases and liners | The usual cookware specification applies |
What carries over from cookware
The bonding, the anneal and the cutting are the same processes. What carries over is the discipline of specifying the layer stack, the gauge, the tolerance and the acceptance check. An industrial buyer who specifies a structure the way a cookware buyer does gets the same predictability.
What changes
Food contact stops being the driver and other properties take over: flatness for heat transfer, surface for hygiene or appearance, edge treatment for fabrication, and consistency between lots for a visible panel. The material documents change accordingly, and the acceptance tests change with them.
Where we are cautious
Structural and pressure applications need design verification that a material supplier cannot provide on its own. If a part carries load or contains pressure, the design authority has to sign off the structure, and we will say so rather than quote into a gap.
Case studies
Named industrial references are published only with the customer's written approval. Until then, enquiries are answered on capability: which structures, which gauges, which tolerances and which documents. Send the application and the drawing, and the reply states whether the line can hold it.
Questions
Common questions
Do you supply non-cookware customers?
Yes, where the structure fits the line: stainless-aluminium clad sheet and plate for panels, plates and fabricated parts.
Can you bond other metal combinations?
The line is set up for stainless and aluminium combinations, including copper core. Other combinations are assessed per enquiry rather than assumed.
Do you provide structural certification?
No. We supply material properties and batch records; design verification for structural or pressure use belongs to the design authority.
Are case studies available?
Named references are published only with written approval from the customer. Capability questions are answered directly.
What is the largest sheet you can supply?
It depends on the structure and the line. Send the size and the application and the cutting route is confirmed.
