Questions buyers ask before the first order

The questions below come up in almost every enquiry. Where an answer depends on the structure, this page says so instead of printing a number that would only be true sometimes.

What can be answered straight away

Whether a structure is worth reviewing, which fields are missing from an enquiry, how the sample stage works and what a specification has to contain are all answerable before any commercial discussion. Send the structure or the cookware design and the technical reply comes first.

Questions

Common questions

Which layer structures do you produce?

Three-ply SUS304 or SUS316L over AL1050 with a SUS430 back; five-ply SUS304 / AL1050 / AL3003 / AL1050 / SUS430; and a copper-core SUS304 / AL1050 / Cu structure.

What is your MOQ?

MOQ depends on the structure, the thickness, the size and whether the batch can share a production schedule. It is stated in each quotation.

Can I get a sample before ordering?

Yes. Send the structure or drawing and the size. Sample availability and freight terms are confirmed with the quotation.

What is your lead time?

Lead time depends on raw material, the rolling and etching schedules, cutting, inspection and the shipping route. It is quoted per order.

Do you supply discs, blanks and sheet?

Round discs, single-ear and double-ear blanks, square blanks and sheet. The form available for a specific structure is confirmed in the quotation.

Can the surface be embossed or etched?

Yes. Two automated etching lines run the etched product, and pressed patterns are made with a die. Pattern and depth are agreed from a sample.

What documents come with a batch?

Material certificate, technical data sheet and inspection record as standard, plus ROHS, REACH or food-contact reports where the grades and the order require them.

Can you match the material we already use?

Send a sample or the specification. We will say whether an equivalent structure is producible, and what has to be tested to call it equivalent.

What affects the price?

Grades, layer ratio, total thickness, diameter, cutting yield, pattern, quantity, inspection and freight. Cost per finished pan is the useful comparison, not cost per tonne.

Do you handle export documentation and shipping?

Export packing, documents and terms are agreed with the order. State the destination port and the trade term you work on.

Can I visit the factory?

Yes. Factory visits and audits are arranged with the sales contact, normally once a structure and a volume are being discussed.

Send a material structure, get a technical answer

Layer grades, thickness, disc diameter and quantity are enough to start. If you only have a drawing or a reference sample, send that instead and we review feasibility from it.
