Documents
Certificates and reports on file
Scans supplied by the company. Click a page to open it full size. The ISO 9001 certificate is shown in English; the ROHS and REACH reports are third-party tests and their result pages are available on request for the exact grade and batch you are buying.
What is on file, and what is issued per order
Two kinds of document exist and buyers usually need both. Standing documents describe the plant and its systems: the ISO 9001:2015 certificate, the SGS certification, and the credit rating. Batch documents describe the material in the container: a mill test certificate for the coils consumed, an inspection record for the finished discs or sheets, and the compliance reports that apply to the grades used.
Standing documents do not change between orders, so they can be sent with the quotation. Batch documents are produced with the goods, which is why a quotation states which of them are included rather than leaving it to the shipping week.
Which report covers which grade
Coverage is not uniform across the range, and a buyer who assumes otherwise can end up short at customs. ROHS declarations exist for 304, 430, 439, 1050 and 3003. REACH statements exist for 430, 439, 1050 and 3003. Food-contact migration testing exists for 304, 430, 439 and 3003.
Two practical consequences follow. First, a 316L cooking face is not covered by a 304 food-contact report, so where 316L is specified the report requirement is raised at quotation. Second, an induction face in 430 is covered by both ROHS and food-contact testing, but not by a REACH statement, which matters if the finished pan is exported to the EU.
How to verify before you commit
Ask for three things with the quotation: the certificate number and expiry date of the quality system certificate, the report number for each grade in the structure, and the name of the laboratory that issued it. A supplier who can only produce a scanned logo is telling you something.
For a first order, the cheapest verification is a sample with its batch documents attached, sent to your own laboratory. That costs one courier shipment and settles the question of whether the material on the pallet matches the paperwork.
Questions
Common questions
Can you send certificates before we place an order?
Yes. The quality system certificate, the SGS certification and the compliance reports for the grades in your structure can be sent with the quotation. Batch documents come with the goods.
Is 316L covered by the same food-contact report as 304?
No. Food-contact testing on file covers 304, 430, 439 and 3003. If your structure uses a 316L cooking face, say so at quotation and the report requirement is handled as part of the specification.
Do you provide REACH statements for every grade?
REACH statements on file cover 430, 439, 1050 and 3003. If a grade outside that list is required for an EU-bound order, raise it early so the report can be arranged rather than discovered at shipment.
What documents come with each batch?
A mill test certificate for the coils used and an inspection record covering thickness, dimensions, surface and flatness. Additional reports are included when the specification asks for them.
